World Environment Day 2021 was celebrated virtually at Usha Martin University, Ranchi on 5th June 2021. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Suresh Garg, VC, UMU emphasized the different ways to restore the ecosystem in coherence with this year’s theme ‘’Reimagine. Restore. Recreate. ”. He highlighted that we have to make peace with nature. Dr. Alok Sahay, Director Campus emphasized on planting saplings and adopting green practices for restoration of environment. Dr. Lopamudra Satapathy, Head, Faculty of Agriculture highlighted the importance of the day in national perspective.
This was followed by poster and model presentations by the students of UMU to mark the occasion. The students’ event was coordinated Ms. Sarika and Dr. Mala Kumari extended a vote of thanks.
