Application Process –

Online Application: Candidates must apply through the official UMU website by clicking on the https://www.umu.ac.in/online-application-form/ link. They must pay Rs. 1500 for an online application and upload all necessary documentation.

Offline Application: Candidates must mail a hard copy of their filled-out application via registered post or courier. They can download the form from the website or pick it up on campus. Candidates must send the Rs. 1500 application fee via DD. Provide hard copies of all necessary documentation. Along with application DD, necessary documents need to be submitted.

PhD Course Admission 2025 –

The admission process is based on the scores of the entrance exam, a personal interview, and the availability of seats. Candidates who clear the entrance exam will have to appear for a personal interview. Those who clear both rounds will receive the admission offer.

Note – The last date to apply is 16^th December 2024.

 Eligibility Criteria for PhD Programs –

• The candidates must have a master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent institution in the relevant subject.
• A minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade is required.

Note: Candidates who have already passed UGC (JRF) Examinations/NET/SET/SLET or have an M. Phil. degree can directly appear for an interview.

PhD Entrance Exam –

Usha Martin University’s research program has a strict admissions procedure that includes an entrance exam meant to evaluate candidates’ academic potential and research skills. The Entrance Examination is MCQ based. There are two sections. First section consists of 50 MCQ based on General Awareness & Research Methodology, and Second section consists of 50 MCQ questions based on subject domain knowledge. Candidates with an overall score of 50% or higher in the General category and 45% or higher in the SC/ST/OBC category will be eligible for an interview.
