About Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Programs
The Department offers B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a 4 year programme with intake of 60 students. The program offers a comprehensive and rigorous education in the core principles and advanced concepts of electrical and electronics engineering. In this video, Dr. Lokesh Kumar, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, provides an overview of the department, its academic programs, infrastructure, and future vision.
He shares that the department offers both B.Tech and Diploma programs in electrical and electronics engineering, with around 200 students currently enrolled. Dr. Kumar highlights the department’s well-established laboratory facilities, which play a crucial role in enhancing practical learning. Students have access to advanced laboratories such as the Basic Electrical and Electronics Lab, Machine-I Lab, Machine-II Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Power System Lab, and Microprocessor Lab. These facilities enable students to gain hands-on experience and develop the technical skills required by modern industries.
Looking toward the future, the department is focusing on emerging technologies and rapidly growing sectors. Dr. Kumar points out the increasing opportunities in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, motor manufacturing, and the renewable energy sector, particularly solar energy.
