The University has been actively involved in investing in building faculty capacities in the emerging areas in teaching learning and specially in the fields of technology supported learning and new pedagogies.
This activity in the university got a new impetus during the Lockdown period as it was considered important to equip the faculty with the knowledge and application of online teaching and learning, online assessment and learner support. A series of webinar based FDPs were conducted on various aspects as per the table below
Different platforms like Zoom , Go to Webinar and Google Meet were used to conduct the training and the resource materials were duly shared with the participants before the ksessions. All participants were provided with eCertificates of participation. Some of these faculty development programmes were specically targeted at UMU faculty ( s. no 1-3) , while all others were open to external participants as well. The programmes were well attended and received very good feedback. We seek to continue this endeavor with two more FDPs coming up in June with UMU being the major provider, one in the field of Physiotherapy and the second on Agriculture.
