Admission Procedure
Usha Martin University offers admissions to wide range of degree programmes ranging from Bachelors to Post Graduate, Ph.D, in addition to diploma programmes. Usha Martin University aims to facilitate its students to select avenues as per their career goals and interest from among our MBA, BBA, B.Com, B.A (English), B.Sc. (Agriculture), BA (Journalism and Mass Communication), B.Sc. (Physiotherapy).
The admission process of Usha Martin University is fairly easy. You need to download the admission form for your selected programme and send the filled in form to the University at the given address.
- Select a programme suitable to your needs and interest.
- Download and fill-up the admission form.
- Form can be submitted online or at the admission offices in Ranchi and Patna at the addresses given on contact page.
- Document Checklist (mark sheets, past academic certificates, birth proof, residence proof, 5 Photographs).
In addition to the above, students need to submit five passport size photographs along with demand draft of first installment of fees in favour of the university. The University also offers scholarships to all students domiciled in Jharkhand and on the basis of merit.
Selection Process
- Entrance to Diploma, B. Tech and Ph.D. programmes would be through an Entrance Test.
- Entrance to the MBA programmes will be through a personal interview.
- The entry for rest of the programmes will be based on eligibility criteria for respective programmes

Fee Refund Policy & Withdrawal of Admission
In the event of withdrawal of admission by a student at different times, the University would refund the fees in accordance with the refund policy as shown in the table below. All students are advised to observe this strictly and the refund shall be made accordingly only.

Note : While seeking refund, please append photocopy of your Bank Passbook or Cancelled Cheque. You should provide all details about Bank, such as Name of the Bank, Account No, Branch Name and IFSC code . Also attached photocopy of your Aadhar card.
Scholarships Offered by UMU
The University encourages participation of meritorious students by offering scholarships in the form of fee concession as per the following scheme. All students domiciled in Jharkhand are also given the benefit of such scholarship to discourage talent migration from the state.
- 30% for all male students enrolled in any programme and having more than 80% marks in their qualifying examination.
- 20% for all male students enrolled in any programme and having marks in the range 70-80% in their qualifying examination.
- All female students having more than 70% marks in their qualifying examination will be entitled to get 30% scholarship. However, if a girl student gets marks between 60%-70%, she will get 20% scholarship.
Domicile Based
- 10% for students having domicile of Jharkhand and enrolled in any programme
Note :
1. These scholarship will be available for the entire duration of programme.
2. No scholarship shall be offered for diploma in pharmacy and bachelor in pharmacy programme.
